I’m gonna guess “made up a transcript” or some wording to that effect, the talking point du jour among wingnuts who want desperately to act as though they’re the ones looking good in all this.

I believe the reasoning they’re attempting is this:
1. Whistleblower calls Schiff out of concern (why would a whistleblower call otherwise).
2. Schiff tells the whistleblower to say that Trump did X.
3. Whistleblower says Trump did X.
(Now watch where this goes off the rails)
4. Trump says he did X.
5. Trump releases transcript saying he did X.
(Now we have to fix this)
6. Trump denies he did X.
7. Trump says transcript he released doesn’t exist.
