I disagree. The students holding VC flags were displaying support for aarmed force our military was fighting, which was also a totalitarian group that had committed horrible atrocities during the Tet Offensive earlier that year. To fling the Nazi card at them seems fitting, though the VC would have been better compared to Stalin than Hitler.

I have no problem with calling the students out, the holding of the VC flags was not only stupid, it was wrong too. But the Nazi card? I hate that shit so much. If Buckley didn’t want to be called a Nazi, he shouldn’t have thrown it himself if you ask me. These kids were dumbasses and I have no qualms saying that but Nazis? I really doubt they knew how fucked up the VC was.
