I do understand that. However, had the gun not been sold (and the shooter hadn’t gotten another gun) and therefore no crime was committed, do you really think the NRA would have been comfortable with gun shop owners doing psychiatric assessments? I think not. But I’d be happy to see evidence that I’m wrong. Really.
