I doubt any of us have a problem with that, sarcastic comments or not. The point is that I doubt there is any believer who didn’t figure out all by themselves that they could pray for rain, and did so long before the governor opened his political mouth.

True Believers have been praying for some time now. They weren’t waiting for a political sign.
