A Post Doc at a company I worked for, with one broken arm, tried to carry several bottles, including concentrated Ammonium Hydroxide, to another lab, in her arms. She dropped the Ammonia, and tried to mop it up with paper towels before somebody grabbed her and got her - and the rest of us - the hell out of the lab.

Then there were the Post Docs in the Yeast group making spheroplasts with a lot of beta-mercaptoethanol outside the hood, wondering why nobody liked them. This was after they lit the lab on fire twice sterilizing the 96-well plate stamper by dipping it in ethanol and running it through a flame.

Then there was the Post Doc who spilled his 32P hybridization mix on the floor and nobody knew about it till we’d all tracked it all over the building. We cut up carpets, and crawled around on our hands and knees with a Geiger and spray bottles of Count-Off.

Post Docs. Not quite as dangerous as grad students.
