Fact is Reagan could do anything and his right wing sycophants would excuse it. Heaven forbid that Obama never had the Cold War because I can just imagine the noise machine if Obama started talking with Gorby as Reagan ended up doing. I dislike Reagan I concede but I hate the cult of Reagan even more.

They either excuse it, or they conveniently forget it. In addition to the Beirut thing, he tripled the National Debt after running on a platform of balancing the budget. He signed what up till then was the largest tax increase. He passed the EITC. He supported and lobbied for the Brady Bill and the Assault Weapons Ban. He made abortion legal in California.

How many of the Reagan worshippers will acknowledge those?
