Ya know in old movies and books, British Citizens when living or travelling in other parts of the world were “subject of his/her majesty” and that meant something. If they were caught in difficulties the crown did work to get them out of it, on principle.

I thought that was a good thing and one trait we kept after we won the revolution.

Now we have American’s saying “fuck them” about their own soldiers?

And the same people consider themselves to be patriotic?
