I kind of doubt any lawyer worth a damn would take on a claim Upchuck has that reads like that one.

That $1K he raised wouldn’t even begin to be a decent retainer for an atty who realized s/he would probably have to wade through an appeals process. It wouldn’t even cover expenses, much less billable time.

And just because the “State of Missouri, ex rel” is shown, usually means that a govt has filed a case for a private individual, not Upchuck and his lawyer friends who cooked this POS up. The State is the entity denying production of Brown’s juvenile records. I can’t imagine they would be a party to this, so it appears Upchuck and his lawyers are simply relying on “information and belief” that there exists such a record since the original request for such doxuments totally failed.
