To be honest, I don’t. If Apple caves on this then law enforcement will want all other tech companies to follow suit. This order sets a very bad precedent and is a very large threat to individual privacy.
If a judge issues an order to allow cops to search your house, can you stop them?
How does it set a bad precedent? They went to a judge, and got a court order. How is that different than any other search? That seems like exactly what we want: Police get a warrant for a search.
