I was, and still am, a Rudy conservative. I was very disappointed that he just seemed to lay down and give up so early.

I’m not convinced Rudy really wanted it to begin with, hence the opting out so early.
Also, FWIW, — there is a lot of dirt on Rudy. The word I got was that people on the left were *hoping* he’d win the nomination, because he has a lot of enemies and they’d been saving up the dirt for a long time.

I’m not sure it’d be enough to sink him, but it would have been ugly.
