Tolerance does not mean we tolerate hatred or intolerance from others. For their crimes against humanity and their blatant hatred and intolerance of people different from them, I will hold no quarter with the Trump-humpers. When I catch them whining about the Biden Administration, I hope I will finally have the courage to speak up and tell them to put a sock in it.

Toleration is not an ideology, it is a tactic that enables a smooth, functioning society when a large enough proportion of the citizenry follow it. Similar to herd immunity, if large enough numbers are intolerant a functioning and peaceful society is impossible.
