If it is the constant velocity joint, I’d take it to a shop. You might be able to do it, but it needs some specialized tools to get the boots and such right.

The ‘cheating car sales guy’ in me says that if the noise only happens in one certain turning direction you should sell the car. On the test drive set up a route that only turns in the quiet direction.

But don’t do that. Leave that to the professional cheaters.
