It seems a man from Nigeria with a one way ticket to the states would at least inspire some serious questioning from authorities and a thorough search. Before any search, they could determine if he was, indeed, emigrating. He’d have a ton of paperwork on him and missing that, a good search would most likely have found the explosives.

exactly…the entire premise is absurd, unless you want to tie up resources, investigate the entire proccess, rewrite regs etc etc…that in itself is a small victory for AQ in that it may give them a new paradigm to work with…but then…why make it so complicated?…just drive over the border, buy all your fire power, pick out a mall and presto!….something is fishy about this whole thing imo
