What sucks is a lot of it is self-inflicted. Too many people buy the fear tactics said about your country and other countries with similar health care systems. The fact that the U.S is one of the few if any countries in the Western world without some form of socialized medicine should tell Americans something but unfortunately I think it convinces some Americans that it makes us even more awesome.

There are waiting lines for some procedures here, but those are generally less severe cases. If you have cancer, a bad heart, or hundreds of other severe problems, you don’t wait.

I just know one thing. I’m damn lucky that I could stay on my parents plan because I needed and got that defibrillator installed in my heart.
