As I remember it, that was an issue brought up at trial and in the pre-trial reporting, that both he and his ex-wife had had an altercation and implicated the other, leading the court to drop the whole thing.

That can’t be. After all, the cops always make the right decisions and if Zimmerman wasn’t arrested this afternoon, well, we need to file charges against her for the 911 call making false accusations!
