Verizon was the cell phone service offered in my area, and they’ve been wonderful. As FurryOldGuyJeans says above, calls within the same network don’t “count” towards your monthly minutes. I’ve never compared another provider because I’ve been so pleased with Verizon—their service has been outstanding.

However, iPhones only work with AT&T. Verizon promotes the Blackberry line. I don’t need all the bells and whistles the extra bells and whistles cost. I have the Verizon nV—I love the QWERTY keyboard because it’s easier to text (which is great for keeping in contact with my kids.)

I use my iPod for music, wifi, alarm clock, calendar, contacts, even a flashlight. It’s much lighter , less expensive, and more versatile that the iPaq I used to have (and HP seems to be phasing them out.) The free apps are a lot of fun—I paid for just one so far.
