Then there were macho tourist salmon fishermen who wanted to argue about who’s fish it was when a bear took notice of one just caught on his line. Very few survive to tell the tale - last one I was aware of spent 8 mos in an Anchorage hospital.

Problem is, bear and people are natural competitors. We like the same food, we live in similar locations. They are much bigger and tougher than we are, we have weapons. But it’s natural that we get into each other’s hair, I guess.
