(Weird moment: years ago I posted on some e-mail list with my old college friends that I was almost moved out of the old house, just a few boxes and a chair with a cute blond guy (that would be the husband) sitting in it.

Friend I haven’t seen in years responds: “OMG, your squeeze is BLOND?” THIS is what impresses her? Seriously?)

The best thing a mother can do is tell her children to marry whomever makes her/him the happiest. Religion, ethnicity, hair/skin pigmentation mean nothing.
