we cant have a discussion about trump tempering or stopping his promotion of hate
we cant have a discussion about trump demanding unity

we can easily say: “you and mitch, where is your legislative solution”?

They don’t have one. Note that they’re not in any way addressing the bill currently sitting on Mitch’s desk, but instead promising that they’re gonna put forward proposals at some nebulous future date. Like always, their entire play is to wait out public outrage, wait until the fire dies down, then quietly drop the push for gun control by saying that it’s “not a priority.”
