You know, there’s nothing wrong with a network having a conservative or liberal leaning. These people are all humans and come with their own political opinions and biases.

The problem with Fox is not that they are ideological; they are brazenly partisan. There is a difference.

For example, MSNBC is ideological. They have announcers that will openly criticize the Obama administration when they disagree. However, they generally tend to agree and support the admin because they are both on the same side of the ideological fence.

My favorite political news show, BAR NONE, is Rachel Maddow. She is liberal, but she is fair and always very prepared. She is gracious and doesn’t yell over her guests, which is precisely why conservative guests will come on her show. Although it’s “hostile” territory for them, they at least know that they will be given a chance to present their side of a particular story.

Keith Olbermann & Ed Schulz are also liberal, but they’re both too bombastic for me. They are clearly catering to the Democratic base.

I also like Chris Mathews. The guy is often over-the-top and sometimes doesn’t understand a topic he’s covering, but you can tell that he *loves* politics. He’s very entertaining to watch.

The only guy I can watch on the FNC is Shep. He’s like a beacon of sanity in a channel full of lunacy.
