There should be a set time for a campaign to get it’s message out,depending on the time between elections for the office in question. It’s become too much about raising money and not enough about the people being represented. I also believe in campaigns being publicly financed with a set limit on that,as well as equal time on tv and radio being given at discount rates for ads. There should be more debates once the candidates are chosen too.

I wanted to ask this the other day and forgot,so here goes. What would happen if the Electoral College votes were split in each state instead of winner take all? It seems like it would be more fair. Say you have 5 million voters in your state and 1 million vote for one,4 million for the other. If you had 10 EVs then it would go 8-2 instead of 10-0. Would that mess things up?
