No, I haven’t. What’s the gist of it?

Earth is visited by aliens who massively improve living standards and who, as a by-product of the changes that they bring, cause everybody to lose their belief in any religion. They DON’T then ship us back to their planet to be served up on a platter, but there’s something else going on. It’s an interesting story, not long, and well worth reading.
