It’s as if everyone has bought into the idea that President Obama is actually the ber-liberal that the McCain campaign and the Republicans tried to make him out to be during the election.

That’s not the point. Obama didn’t have to be “ber-liberal” to choose a justice that maintained the present SCOTUS balance.
