I just want a vintage 1911, and can’t do it now

I saw an absolutely gorgeous 1911 today at our other gun shop, 1941-42 serial number, but it had been blued instead of retaining the original WWII olive green parkerizing. I was/am tempted, the price is right because the bluing means it’s no longer correct.
