I might be the only lizard who LIKES MICROSOFT.

I remember when O/S software cost hundreds of dollars. (Anyone else remember SCO Unix?)

I remember when there were dozens of versions, and programs cost a lot because there had to be multiple versions for different o/s.

I look at Apple as monopolistic in the classic sense. A lot more so than MS.

I think it is a lot easier to make O/S software when you completely control the hardware, and don’t have to worry about old applications working. It is nice to be able to leave the former user base behind (ask Zombie)…

Sure, VISTA is not as good as 7, but VISTA is better than XP. AND it is expected that each O/S will be better than the last.

Apple has some great stuff (although I think there are better mp3 players) BUT Microsoft has some cool stuff coming (Project Natal) and I would not count them out so quick.
