Video: Breitbart Laughs As He Shows Weiner Photo to Shock Jocks

I did see 4 very interesting things today, though. Two of them were fun little things: A excellent condition light blue VW van (rare to see in Chicago) and a community garden that was called a Victory Garden (a name used during WWII). The other two things had more import, one of them good, the other not:

The bad thing was an anti-abortion protest along Michigan Avenue. I’m no fan of NARAL, but this was one of those groups whose protest consists of holding up large signs with pictures of an aborted fetus. It’s gruesome and served to make people sick rather than convince them of anything. It just came across as a Phelps-like bit of nastiness and stupidity.

The good thing was a person kayaking down the Chicago River, that I saw out of my window at work. While this may seem small, I’m old enough to remember when the river was still so polluted that doing that would badly sicken you. For the Chicago River’s quality to have improved that much in 30 years is surely a positive sight.
