They are great aspiration al words, but they led to us growing more than a bit complacent in thinking that these gains in rights and freedoms were solidified and irreversible.

We are seeing that they are not.

There is nothing in the historical record to suggest they are true in any sense.

Time and time and time again, the powerful do what they want and pay no price, while everybody else suffers for their decisions.

Justice is laughably rare, and fleeting whenever it can found.
