I like the idea of some GOP operatives looking back on the Michael Steele era with wistful longing.

Chuckle with me about that one.

Steele oversaw a wave election that allowed the GOP to retake the House and shave down the Dem Senate majority.

His reward? To be tossed out on his ass for being seen as insufficiently dedicated to the cause.
