It’s worth remembering that without a Senate we wouldn’t have a Constitution. The Senate, in spite of its current flaws, tends to put the brakes on a sometimes crazy House of Representatives.

If we didn’t have a Senate, we’d still be in the middle of a government shutdown right now.
