Want to know why the Dems have grown strong here in VA? They went after immigrants and their children. They didn’t dismiss their concerns to chase some WWC unicorn into the rainbow. The Democratic Party of Virginia thus today in 2017 is a party that has immigrants and the children of immigrants in it as much as people whose families have been here a long time like my own. Now, would I prefer that we oppose right to work laws? Sure, but hostility to labor took generations to build up and it will take some time to make people more friendly to pro-labor policies.

And I’ve mentioned my dislike for Jim Webb before. But his campaign spent a lot of time and effort with the Korean-American community in Northern Virginia.

But, no, according to Bernie Sanders, we should spend time trying to persuade people who liked George Felix Allen because he proudly displayed a Confederate flag and enjoyed the fact that a sitting Senator ridiculed someone with racial slurs.

(Full disclosure: I voted for Allen, but would prefer not to talk about that…)
