ignore cook times when perusing internet directions. just cooked an butternut squash. 40 minutes at 350 my ass.

sliced in half, placed cut side down in a baking dish with water. Medium size ~45 minutes; Large ~60 minutes.

I know they are done when my glasses fog up when I open the oven door.
