It always amazes me how short & violent the lives of so many people were back then. Born in 907; loses his dad in 921 at age 13; in the same year his pagan mom has his Christian grandma strangled because she wants influence; by 924/925 he’s 18 and acting as king; 10 years later—at age 28—his brother allies himself with some nobles and Wenceslaus gets murdered on his way to church after an argument with said brother. Sheeeeit! O_o
