I think the hatchlings should be offered refreshments, not asked to provide them. Apparently I am the only one who feels that way, though.

In my experience, lizards prefer crickets. Finches, OTOH, LOVE mealworms. They work along them from segment to segment, sucking in all the mealwormy goodness, like they were eating corn on the cob.
