I think you’re right. And here’s why. I really think he’s going to have a difficult time defending his record and he’s not going to have Clinton as a foil. I think she was the right nominee for what we had but you can’t underestimate how much the Republican base has despised HRC for years and they were eager to vote against her. As for Bernie, I just hope he’s gone before Super Tuesday as a serious factor so he can’t lie and claim he was robbed.

Here’s my reasoning, and it’s dependent on a real election being conducted in a normal manner, so…who knows.

tRump got 62,000,000 votes. His cult is rabid, but they’re not all of those. He certainly hasn’t gained any support. I don’t know if those “protest” vote stories were baloney or what, but I don’t see how he breaks 60,000,000 now.

Hillary Clinton, a woman—and sorry, but it matters that she was a woman—who has been on the receiving end of 35 fucking years of nonstop vilification, got 65,000,000 votes. Barack Hussein Obama, a black man with Arabic first and middle names, got 67,000,000 votes 10 years ago, and everyone who voted for him—and others besides—are going to be exceptionally motivated.

I don’t see how tRump can pull it out in a normal election. It’s got to be pretty close for the Electoral jiggery-pokery to flip it.
