If Iran shuts down the Straits of Hormuz - and as you noted, they’ve threatened it before - yeah, there would be a pretty much overnight global recession.

That is the move I am expecting. Killing Americans would only strengthen Trump’s standing, but making them bleed at the gas pump will really make them howl.
