And hounding Manchin into the GOP would accomplish what, exactly? You still wouldn’t pass any more bills, you would stop the flow of diverse judges onto the federal bench, and the Senate would immediately counterprogram the January 6 committee with hearings on Hunter Biden.

So instead we watch an inactive Senate constantly moan about how it can’t do anything because it doesn’t have the votes, while being told that things would be “so much worse” if we actually tried to apply the least bit of pressure on the roadblocks to anything being done. This is only a single step below “We have 59 votes and the ability to abolish the filibuster to get shit done, BUT WHAT IF THE REPUBS WIN THE NEXT ELECTION!?!”
