Well, the standard thing to do is to sell off the unprofitable parts— but the corporate raider style investors tend to sell off the profitable parts, while acquiring debt.

So, have investors with a long-term, rather than short-term, view.

Which are rare, these days.

you’d have to change a good bit of how companies are owned, so it would not be a short process. It would be one that would have to be long term itself. So you would need a good bit of short term camouflage.
