Get out what vote? You can only purge a congressman as a RINO if the Republicans in his district see him as a RINO, and those in Dold’s district are unlikely to do so over funding for Planned Parenthood.

The other thing this bill does, and frankly its the bigger thing, is that it neutralizes his Democratic challenger, Brad Schneider,’s ability to charge Dold with being part of a “GOP War on Women”. Dold just clearly stated “Ladies, I have no designs upon your uteri.”, and given that PP clinics do serve poorer residents of North Chicago* and Zion, this may reduce the desire of those who use such clinics to vote against him. It will likely also keep him out of NARAL’s gunsights.

*: North Chicago is a Lake County our suburb of Chicago. There is also a South Chicago, West Chicago, and East Chicago. East Chicago is in Indiana, all the others are in Illinois.

Fair point. You are in Illinois, I’m in Texas. You know the local politics better than I do. I just fear for moderate R’s in general.
