They needed to hit the right note two damn years ago. I don’t hold them responsible for the mass murder, but I do expect grown adults to behaving irresponsibly. That’s the thing about bearing false witness against someone, someone might actually believe what you are saying is true. They were never clear about what they meant to say about the president because telling the truth wouldn’t have been nearly as politically effective. They were perfectly fine with people believing the worst possible things about him, the intentions of his party, the government and the people who work in it.

The problem always is that inserting disclaimers takes much of the ‘punch’ out of your speech. That’s why i often lack such punch: I insert too many disclaimers and qualifiers and lose people along the way. But I’m an accuracy maniac; Other who have a wish to sway people may just charge in without disclaimer.
