My regular drip coffee maker stopped working right (manufacturing defect) a while back so it wasn’t giving a strong enough brew. Bought a french press, and that’s great as far as that goes, but it’s awful in dealing with the grounds.

Got a new drip coffee maker (Cuisinart w/insulated carafe), and have been happy w/results so far.

Still will pull out the french press from time to time for coffee, but it’s also fabulous for doing batches of loose-leaf tea (though still with the cleanup issues).

Wasn’t able to get an aeropress at the time, but hear that it handles the grounds so much better than the french press.

I have a nice Teavana steeping device for doing loose leaf tea in - just does one cup at a time though. Which works well enough most of the time since it’s just me drinking tea.
