The trouble though has been that the Republicans are great the political soundbyte. And the Dems suck. It’s the thinking man’s curse. When people actually listen and look at the policies, you’d know that the the Dems are by far the more fiscally responsible party but Joe Voter just hears “cut taxes and wasteful spending” and he thinks “Well who can argue with that?” I was reading about Maryland’s GOP candidate for governor, Larry Hogan, and his tax plan would actually make things worse not better there but he’s been running on a campaign of cutting taxes and that’s the sort of thing your average voter likes hearing. I am not saying the average voter is an idiot but the fact is the R’s are great at the soundbite.
