not that it’ll happen (even as crazy as American politics has been since, um 1789 or so), but I wonder if there is a large enough block of relatively rational/moderate/old school Republicans left that if the Tea Party gets their way with a nomination for Speaker, that they could throw the election to Pelosi (with a little horse trading on committee assignments and what not).

I mean, something similar has happened occasionally in state legislatures, but not with big numbers. Still, the tantrums would be epic.
