I actually took a course in entrepreneurship/VC when I was in grad school and our big project for it was creating a pitch and writing a business plan. I still have the textbook and my notes somewhere. I’ll also call on two of my profs for advice, since they’ve both started their own businesses.

It’s part of the reason why I’m giving myself time before I make the jump. I need to make sure my plan is solid and that I’ve got some potential clients and a financial safety net in place before I make the leap. I’m definitely not going to go into this blind.
