That is a weird and common malady of internet bullies and trolls. I moderated a religious forum for a while and we couldn’t get some of the real head cases to stop trying to register sock puppets and stalk other posters. One woman even targeted posters on our youth forum sending them personal messages about how they could leave our faith and become “saved” by hers. We shut that crap down fast and then she started complaining on stalker sites about how we spied on her messages.

The registration agreement clearly stated we monitored messages sent through the board IM system. Duh!
