Haha, the truth in the very first sentence about libertarians: “…I was a teenage Ayn Rand fanatic…” The very age, adolescence, that is usually the epitome of selfishness for most people who usually mature and grow out of it, and understand the value of society and contributing to and nourishing it, developing empathy for others and seeing them as valuable beings as much as ourselves.

Some, as we know, never get past that time of life.
