My sentiments exactly. I regret that I only have one up-ding to give for this.

The old money aristocrat Franklin Roosevelt did not institute the New Deal, Social Security, etc. because he especially liked poor people or even knew much about them. He did it to head off the kind of revolution that was sweeping through the rest of the world at the time.
