Rome had some decent pizza, but we weren’t enthralled with it. The pasta, however, absolutely lived up to the hype. And the gelato. Of course, it makes it difficult to get in all the touristing if you’re eating pasta, gelato, and drinking wine for what amounts to breakfast.

I think Naples is the place for Pizza. Dunno as I’ve never been to Italy. Gonna get hell for this but Italian food outside of pizza is meh for me. I much prefer my Slavic “pastas” of pierogis, halupki, etc. My one cousin who is half Sicilian otoh felt the other way. She was really craving the Italian cooking she likes when we were in Slovakia. I love Slovak Rusyn food. It’s simple. It’s not exotic but man it’s hearty.
