I wish I could agree it was that simple. In the Bush years, I definitely saw I had a difference of perspective but with these people it’s a difference of basic truths. It’s gotten worse. And yeah right wing media has aided it for sure but I think it’s in how we process information too. I’m distressed in any case.

At some level, they know Trump is tearing things apart. But they chose him, and since admitting they are wrong is the hardest thing to do, they are reacting by being more and more delusional in their thinking. Forget rearranging deck chairs, they’re trying to scoop the water out with teacups.
