But that’s not what you said. You didn’t stop there. You said it was better for them to be ‘controlled’, and that they shouldn’t have self-determination.

And I meant it. I’d like them to be under the rule of someone not accountable to them, but who would not brutalize them and work to get them ready for self-government. But I cannot can’t find a way to make that work.
