I just don’t get how you can shoot an elephant and be all proud of yourself and shit. It’s one thing to shoot a deer or elk for food, or even ducks, or yes, cute little wabbits. Or the errant copperhead that’s hiding in the firewood pile or something. But an elephant? And then walk away and go have champagne at the club? That’s just fucked.

And really NRA? You couldn’t find a better way to promote hunting? Oh what the hell am I saying, of course they can’t. Sigh.

The simple fix is in the hunter’s ethic. If you shoot an elephant, you have to eat it. Before it rots.
